White Pine Resort's New Beginner Terrain Park: Built by the Best

White Pine just got a little more fun.

Our brand-new mini terrain park is open, and it's built right and by people who really care.

Our new mini-terrain park includes four features — a dance floor box, flat down rail, tower tube, and flat box — that can all be hit in one run.

It's the perfect combo for beginners, spaced out for safety but also so you can hit them all in one run or focus on one again and again.

Building a terrain park isn't as easy as just placing some features.

There's a lot more thought that goes into it: spacing, pitch, entry, landing, and on and on.

We're thrilled to have had three experts — Shane Grimes, Krister Ralles, and Tyler Shores, who also happen to be our General Manager Dalan Adam's friends — help us set up our new terrain park. They have all worked at various ski resorts building and maintaining some of the best parks around, and Brighton in Cottonwood Canyon is fortunate to have them right now.

Combined, they have over 50 years of experience.

Shane was pivotal in building one of the first legendary parks, DC Mountain Labs in Park City, among others in Tahoe. Krister has a specialty background in building features in urban settings — hitting jumps and rails in a city.

Tyler is that guy who's been saying "let's build a jump!" since he was a kid. As Dalan put it, he has an "unbelievable passion for it" — "he's the best skier I've ever skied with. He's just naturally good at everything he does."

These guys literally go out on their own time and build jumps. They all just love shoveling and carving snow.

As Dalan shared: "They're super passionate about snowboarding and getting the kids out there. They didn't have this growing up, and they wish they did. This is why they build them. And they're really proud of it. These features are for the kids."

We're so lucky to have had them help us build it and teach our crew how to maintain it.

A huge thanks to Shane, Krister, Tyler, and our amazing crew (all pictured below) who helped get these ready for you.

This park was built with heart, by people who wish they'd had something like it growing up.

Now it's yours. Go hit it.
